Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Fret Drill (“the service”) handles and how.
1. Information we collect
The service has no accounts, and the operator does not collect names, email addresses or other personal information. Your practice records and settings are stored only in your browser's local storage on your device and are never sent to the operator's servers. Usage statistics described in section 4 are sent to Google Analytics.
2. Microphone (audio input)
Your browser asks for microphone permission only when you use the Guitar input. Incoming sound is analyzed in real time inside your browser. It is not recorded, stored or transmitted. You can revoke the permission at any time in your browser settings.
3. Advertising and cookies
- The service shows ads through Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for cookie consent through Google's certified consent management tool.
4. Usage statistics (Google Analytics)
To improve the service, we collect visit statistics with Google Analytics. Pages viewed, approximate location (country and city), device and browser type, referral source, and usage events such as starting or ending a practice session, the drill chosen and the number of questions answered are sent to Google using cookies. We do not send information that directly identifies you, such as your name or email, and Google signals (ad personalization linking) are turned off. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are only measured with analytics cookies if they consent. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. See the Google Privacy Policy for how Google handles data.
5. Server logs
The company that hosts this site may process basic access data such as IP address, browser type and time of access for security and reliability.
6. Deleting your data
Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes all practice records and settings.
7. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with its effective date. Contact: yohan@fretdrill.com
